Decorative Dream Catcher Bottle/Native American Dream Catcher/Nightlight
Decorative Native American Dream Catcher moccasin stopper fairy light bottle art. The 1.5-liter size bottle is painted with a white background to enhance the dream catcher, feathers, and beads. Turning the clay moccasin into a stopper was the climax.
I can imagine this art piece placed on a nightstand as a night light. I can also imagine it as a lovely addition to a collector of Indigenous people’s art or someone’s first collectible item. How do YOU imagine it?
The dream catcher originates in Anishinaabe culture as the "spider web charm" - Anishinaabemowin: asubakacin "net-like"; bwaajige ngwaagan "dream snare" - a hoop with woven string or sinew meant to replicate a spider's web, used as a protective charm for infants.
I feel guided by spirit with each endeavor to create a precious one-of-a-kind piece for the person who’s guided toward my pieces.
